The Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Roman cisterns, coexist with the countless nightlife venues, which also they make this city the meeting point for countless forms of be.
We chose the small Church of Chora. Built in the old Constantinople, during the 4th century and rebuilt in the 12th century, 200 years after an earthquake partially destroyed the building.
Converted into a Mosque, when the Ottoman conquest, it was converted in a museum in 1945 and returned to the Mesquita in 2020, under the current regime.
In this building, the mosaics and frescoes that tell the story of story of Mary, the Mother of little Jesus. A humanist view ofgreatest history of Christianity.
Currently and due to the political decision to revert a museum to a location non-original cult. one cannot see the full beauty of these representations.
